Sibiu Dans 2007 is an international outdoor dance festival that will take place in Sibiu (Transylvania, Romania) between 17 – 31 August 2007, in the frame of “Sibiu European Cultural Capital 2007”. During two weeks, Sibiu – the most beautiful medieval city in Transylvania – will become the capital of dance, offering to local and international audience a series of high quality dance performances. Sibiu Dans 2007 is produced by Proiect DCM Foundation in collaboration with several foreign cultural institute with the financial support of the Romanian Ministry of Culture and Relegious Affaires.
What they are are looking for:
Sibiu Dans 2007 welcomes projects or/and dance performance that can be presented in a outdoor/non-conventional locations. If you have a performance or any ideas which you would like to develop further in relation to the body, politics and city and in dialogue with our festival, we would very much like to hear from you.
They are looking for:
- video dance movies
- site-specific dance performance and projects
- solo, duet or trio pieces, between 15 - 30 minutes that can be presented in a shared evening programme on an open air stage, on normal light situation (performances will start at 19.00 pm)
Submissions should include:Viewing copy and / or supporting material on DVD or VHS Description of performance/project

Deadline to submit proposals is December 30th 2006.
Submissions should be postmarked by this date.
Selected artists and project will be informed on February 2007.
The festival will cover travel cost, accomodation and fees that will be negociated with each artist/project selected. The DVD and video tapes sent will remain in the archive of Proiect DCM Foundation.
