'Actors seeking Authors', call for short plays (deadline: 31 Jul)

“Actors seeking Authors” changes its formula after 20 successful years. Call for short plays suitable for stage and screen.

The Review, created and directed by Ennio Coltorti, becomes

SCREEN/SCENE

For this brand new edition we will select 6 plays (3 Italian and 3 European):
Texts must last 20-25 minutes and have 2/5 characters.
The 6 plays will be on stage in early October 2007 directed by Ennio Coltorti.

This year novelty is related to the following step:
just after the theatrical perfomances, the same actors will be involved in the making of 6 short films based on the same 6 plays.
Six young film directors will have a budget and 3 weeks of time to deliver the short films, which will be screened at Rome Film Fest.

We are currently looking for European plays suitable both for stage and screen
Deadline is end of July 2007.
There will be a money prize for all selected plays in exchange for a percentage of the play’s rights.
There is also a prize in money for the best play at the end of the festival.
