Can Serrat Writer's Full Stipend – January Call for Applicants
Can Serrat is pleased to announce our Full Stipend for writers for the year 2007-2008.
- The residency is open to writers in all fields regardless of nationality or age.
Applications will be accepted from July 1 – 31, 2007.
Application Requirements*
Candidates are asked to send:
• Cover letter (Please state two preferred residency months)
• Curriculum Vitae
• a 5-7pg sample of your work in Word format, or as a pdf (i.e. completed poems, prose, plays or scripts)
Please make a careful selection of your best work; we are unable to read full manuscripts.
• A short summary of the project/work planned for the residency period.
• Please e-mail applications to stipend@canserrat.org
*Note there is no official application form.
- Applications must be received by 31 July, 2007. Late applications will not be reviewed.
- The selected writer will be notified in September, 2007.
- The selected writer will be provided with living/working space and meals for a one month period and the opportunity to give a reading at the centre.
Travel expenses and other incidentals are not covered by the stipend award.
- All applicants for the full stipend will automatically also be considered for a support stipend.
- Stipends are available to the recipient for one year.
