Internship at Atelier Hotel Pro Forma, October 2011 - March 2012, Copenhagen, Danemark (deadline: 22 April 2011)
Hotel Pro Forma is looking for students with a strong personal drive to form part of a transdisciplinary team who can contribute with knowledge in specific areas of expertise. At the same time, you will receive unique insight into the artistic and production-related processes that make up Hotel Pro Forma.
Hotel Pro Forma is one of the leading theatre production companies in Europe in the experimental performing arts. One of their next large international production premieres in fall 2013 with a European tour to follow. Up to the performance they are planning a large workshop in Copenhagen in February / March 2012, where many of the artistic and technical elements used in the performance will be developed.
The performance and the workshop are, like all of their productions, an investigation of different phenomena within performance art, architecture, light, sound, perception, use of new technology and communication.
They are looking for interns or students interested in internships or creating projects within one or more of following areas of expertise:
* Sound: investigations of 3D/binaural sound technology, acoustics, dramaturgy, senses and perception.
* Light: investigations of darkness, time, optical illusions, space and senses.
* Text: development of text, dramaturgical investigations and performance.
* Marketing: fundraising, campaign development.
The period for the internship(s) is from the beginning of October 2011 to end of March 2012. The stay will require a minimum 2 month commitment to the project without salary.
A typical week could include: shorter presentations and dialogue with Hotel Pro Forma’s artistic and administrative management, production meetings, smaller workshops, development and investigations of newest technology, plus the possibility of sparing and development of your own artistic projects.
