Call for Entries for 6th Hull International Short Film Festival

Submissions are now being accepted for the 6th Hull International Short Film Festival, the largest short film festival in the North of England, which runs from 15th-20th April 2008. Hull Film is looking for innovative and exciting films from across the globe of any genre that run up to a maximum of 45 minutes.

Previous years have seen the likes Don't Look Now director Nicolas Roeg visit the Film Festival alongside renowned animators The Quay Brothers who produced a specially commissioned Festival trailer. Oscar nominated director Virgil Widrich has also been on hand to discuss his films, whilst Hull born playwright John Godber has given advice about writing for the screen.

2008 will see the Hull International Short Film Festival move to April with an expanded programme of screenings and events. Highlights will include the International Competition, which will have a prize of 1000 for the winning film and the Audience Award which will see festival goers deciding on who will walk away with the 500 prize.
