Novas Contemporary Urban Centre hosts exhibit to raise awareness about fair trade

The Novas Contemporary Urban Centre is hosting an exhibit to raise awareness about fair trade.

Call for artist participation in an exhibition in conjunction with Fairtrade Fortnight, which will be held on February 22nd through March 22nd.

Novas Gallery is looking for works that depict the different conceptual aspects of fair trade. Some possible themes include, but are not limited to:

The struggle of producing goods in economically deprived nations
Illustrating the importance of knowing the history of consumer products Celebrating the benefits of fair trade, and the lives that are improved.

Environmental Sustainability
Encouraging the sense that fair-trade is not merely a business transactionbut a tool for creating positive change

About the gallery
The gallery is a non-profit organisation. All work is sold on a 50:50 basis, with the gallery's share going directly into the charity, Novas. The other 50% goes to the artist.
The gallery is situated over four floors-each approximately 140 metressquare, one of which will be utilised for this exhibit. The space allows for multi-mediawork to be exhibited.
The gallery will organise private viewings.
