ABOUT US
Ramshacklicious is the brain-child of siblings, Holly and Jack Stoddart. Weaim to produce high-quality, accessible yet subversive musical/physical theatrefor the street.
We formed our company in 2006 with Cirque Bijou's'New Street Theatre Award'. This allowed us to research and develop 'The RoadTo Nowhere'-and test our findings on an unsuspecting audience at the Harbourside festival,Bristol. After much encouragement from Bristol's Theatre fraternity, wesuccessfully applied for Arts Council funding to take the show further.

Last spring went back into rehearsal for three weeks with director, EmmaLloyd and came out with the most remarkable show! We performed it all over theUK and Ireland to great acclaim:

"Ramshacklicious are the most exciting street theatre company to emerge fromEngland in recent years...A wonderful, challenging, hilarious show.
-Will Chamberlain, Artistic Director of Festival of Fools, Belfast

'Exciting and dynamic new company Ramshacklicious mesmerised the audience with their hilarious "Road to Nowhere"=. Professional company with a brilliant show and a joy to work with.'
-Gillian McCarrey, Programme Manager, UZ Events, Big in Falkirk: Scotland'sNational Street Arts Festival

THE SHOW
The Road to Nowhere is a four-person show combining: contemporary clowning, live and interactive music, puppetry, song, physical-theatre, improvisationand oodles of audience interaction. The show is available as a 45-minutestatic show or walkabout show with static happenings.

THE PREMISE
Nana and her three grandsons travel the world in search of wives. Nobody knows how long they’ve been travelling, not even them. Dressed in dishevelled wedding apparel and dragging all their possessions along with them (includingNana's rather redundant coffin), their quest has become a sideshow of serenades;a never-ending search for the perfect brides. Nana refuses to die until herboys are married, but who will ever be good enough for Nana's boys?

THE FUTURE
We will go back into rehearsal in spring 2008 and tour between May and October. We hope to build on last year’s success of a 23-date tour. There are manyunconquered corners of the UK and Ireland. We also hope to dip our toesinto Europe this year.
