Collective Encounters seeks one male and one female actor for an exciting new street opera tackling issues of homelessness.Co-directed by Collective Encounters’ Artistic Director Sarah Thornton and composer and director Patrick Dineen, this 20-minute piece will animate the streets and doorways of Liverpool’s city centre.
Performers must have a playing age of 30+ and must be experienced and confident with extremely strong singing voices. Performers must be able to sing outdoors without amplification.Collective Encounters is a Liverpool based theatre company producing theatre for social change and specialising in animating non-traditional spaces.
Rehearsals are for two weeks from 29th June 2009 and performances take place during the week commencing 13th July. Auditions will be held in Liverpool on Wednesday 18th March. Those invited to attend will be asked to prepare a piece to sing outside.The audition will also involve working indoors with music and text.This is paid work with an ITC Equity contract
