Following the huge success of our last cabaret, award winning theatrecompany, The Scenic Route, dedicated to developing new musical theatre, are currently seeking musical theatre writers to take part in their next open mic cabaret showcasing numbers from new works.
We are interested in composers/lyricists who are up for coming along and performing one or more songs from new musicals, works in progress or otherwise. The songs can be out of context as we will facilitate introductions as necessary, the only thing we ask is that you provide your own pianist/ backing tracks and performer/s! (We’ll provide the piano and mics of course!).
This unique cabaret forms part of a fundraising drive to see our work into 2009 and beyond so unfortunately we are not in a position to offer any remuneration but a great opportunity to showcase your work, receive feedback and make contacts.
The event will take place on Sunday 29th March from 7pm with a rehearsal from 5/6pm at
