Rotating... is a 15 minute experience for one visitor at a time, during which they pass though a series of spaces, guided by a voice on an mp3 player. Along this pre-programmed journey a series of enigmatic tableaux vivants appear – these puzzling images and fragments of stories make the visitors actively try to construct a scenario for themselves, one which is never explicitly revealed or resolved… and where the audience member’s role as a viewer can never fully or conclusively be apprehended.

The work explores particular experiences often felt but less often articulated because of their abstract nature, e.g. that dislocation from your own body sometimes experienced when half-awake emerging from sleep, dreams in which you feel like your floating, the sensation of trying to make sense of a story mid flow and the potential self-revelation that can occur on meeting and engaging with strangers.
