Award winning Australian physical theatre company Legs on the Wall is looking for a new Artistic Director who can drive the artistic vision of the Company and develop new and innovative programs to cultivate the Company’s artistic hub activities into the future.
Legs on the Wall transforms the power and intimacy of theatre into spectacular outdoor performances of extraordinary physical strength and skill - always challenging the boundaries between circus, theatre and dance and our understanding of the world in which we live. The integrity and significance of Legs on the Wall’s performance is realised through a proud Australian aesthetic and sustained by strong working relationships with our physical theatre community and artists from around the world.
The Artistic Director will work closely with the General Manager and Board of Directors on all aspects of the Company’s operations. Legs on the Wall is based in Lilyfield, Sydney.
Start date: March/April 2009
Basis of Employment: Full-time
Term of Contract: 3 year term with possibility of renewal
Starting Salary Range: $70,000 per annum PLUS 9% Super
Employment conditions: Probationary period of six months
